Real Estate/Personal Property Deputy – Assessor’s Office

Job Summary: Adair County is seeking a reliable individual for a full time position in the Assessor’s Office.  The Real Estate/Personal Property Deputy is responsible for assisting customers, preparing tax waivers and tax bills for personal property, preparing forms for tax refunds and writing letters for tax exempt organizations in accordance with state law.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED certificate
  • Effective in oral and written communications
  • Is proficient in working with computers and other electronic/office equipment
  • Competent in reviewing and/or editing documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Selected applicant must submit to and pass background screening.

Annual salary will be $28,681.  Benefits include: Health insurance, vacation and sick leave, holiday pay, and retirement
