Adair County is seeking a reliable individual for a full-time Human Resources Director/Grant Writer.  Duties include, but are not limited to, employee onboarding/offboarding, benefits coordination, policy development, grant writing and grant implementation, along with supporting operational processes and procedures of the County Commissioner’s Office.

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED certificate
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisor, and the public
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, equipment, and materials used in the department.
  • Will be required to learn knowledge of County policies, procedures, rules and regulations
  • Skill in effective oral and written communications
  • Skill in following and effectively communicating verbal and written instructions
  • Skill in working independently, and as an effective team member
  • Is proficient in working with computers and other electronic/office equipment
  • Competent in reviewing and/or editing documents for accuracy and completeness
  • At least 1 year of Human Resources and/or grant management experience preferred
