2019 Opioid Summit

On Monday May 13, 2019, the Adair County Opioid Coalition hosted the 2019 Opioid Summit. The annual summit is an informative event for physicians, health care professionals, law enforcement, government officials and the general public in order to discuss opioids and their misuse.

Local Adair County Officials that attended the event were from left to right: 1st District Commissioner Bill King, Presiding Commissioner Mark Shahan, Sheriff Bob Hardwick, Public Administrator Rhonda Noe, and 2nd District Commissioner Mark Thompson. 

The Adair County Opioid Coalition was established  in March  2018 with the mission  of  saving lives in Adair County by providing education about the dangers of opioids and supporting strategies/methods to intervene with opioid misuse.

1st District Commissioner Bill King, Sheriff Bob Hardwick, Adair County Prosecutor Matt Wilson(not pictured) actively serve on the coalition. Additionally, Sheriff Hardwick was a guest speaker at the 2019 Opioid Summit event.
